Latin Grammy 2026 nominations feature Rosalía, Karol G, and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso

The Latin Recording Academy has announced the nominations for the 2026 Latin Grammy Awards, highlighting a diverse field of global pop stars and rising artists. Major contenders include Karol G, Rosalía, and Jorge Drexler, who are all positioned as strong candidates in the General Field.

Rosalía is seeking a historic third Album of the Year win for ‘Lux’, which could tie her with Juanes and Alejandro Sanz for the second-most wins in that category. Karol G is also a prominent figure following the success of her album ‘Tropicoqueta’, with the potential to become only the second woman to win the category twice.

Among the notable newcomers are the Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso. Comprised of Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises Guerriero, the pair has seen a rapid ascent from the Buenos Aires underground scene to international recognition, following a performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk. Their music is characterized by a blend of hip hop, trap, jazz, and electronic influences.
