Latin music revenues in the U.S. reach record $542.2 million
Latin music revenues in the United States reached a record $542.2 million during the first half of 2026, according to a report from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This represents an 8.6% increase compared to the same period in 2025, outperforming the overall growth of the U.S. recorded music market, which rose by 6.9%.
This achievement marks the thirteenth consecutive semester of record-breaking revenue for the Latin music segment. Latin music now accounts for approximately 9.1% of total recorded music revenue in the U.S.
Growth is heavily driven by digital consumption, with streaming accounting for 96% of Latin music revenue. Additionally, vinyl sales for the genre have tripled. The RIAA noted that high-profile cultural moments, such as major concert performances, have helped introduce Latin music to broader audiences and reinforced existing fanbases.
