Latina initiates regeneration process for Mercato Annonario

The City of Latina has approved a public notice to solicit proposals for the urban regeneration and functional enhancement of the Mercato Annonario on via don Morosini and its adjacent areas.

Following a municipal resolution in July 2026, the Department of Public Works has issued a scheme for public-private partnerships (PPP) under project finance regulations. Economic operators have 90 days to submit technical-economic feasibility projects. These submissions will compete against a spontaneous private initiative already received by the municipality.

Mayor Matilde Celentano stated that the redevelopment is a crucial component for revitalizing the city center. The administration aims to create a modern, sustainable space that promotes food culture, healthy nutrition, and local gastronomic excellence through a transparent and competitive selection process.
