LaTrice ‘Lala’ Verrett discusses Big Brother eviction and strategy

LaTrice ‘Lala’ Verrett has been evicted from Big Brother following a 4-2 vote. During her 59-day run, the 58-year-old contestant set a new age record for the endurance Head of Household competition and won a Veto challenge.

Reflecting on her gameplay, Verrett explained her decision not to target the ‘reality icons’—Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Rick Devens—during her tenure as Head of Household. She noted that targeting them could have been ‘horrible’ because players like Devens held significant powers, such as the Diamond Power of Veto, which could have allowed them to circumvent nominations.

Instead, Verrett focused on eliminating the power couple of Chuk Anyanwu and Haley Thogmartin, a move she believes changed the game's trajectory. Verrett now joins the seven-person jury that will vote for the winner in the October 1 finale.
