LATRICO establishes October 8 as ‘Skin Inquiry Day’

LATRICO Co., Ltd., the operator of the online skin consultation service ‘Tokyo Bihadado’, has established October 8 as ‘Skin Inquiry Day’ (Hada o Tou Hi). The date was officially registered with the Japan Anniversary Association.

The initiative aims to encourage individuals to face their skin concerns rather than ignoring them. A company survey revealed that 50.6% of respondents felt that seeking medical attention for minor skin irritation was ‘exaggerated’. The day is intended to serve as a reminder to consult professionals, such as through online medical services, when necessary.

The date was chosen based on a Japanese wordplay where the numbers 10 and 8 can be read as ‘tou’ (inquiry) and ‘ha’ (skin). October was selected because it is a season when skin changes due to summer UV damage and increasing dryness become more noticeable.
