Italian towns launch summer events and outdoor activities

Bracciano’s municipality unveiled a month‑long August program featuring open‑air cinema, concerts, traditional patron saint festivals and market stalls along the lakefront. The schedule is part of the “Bracciano Estate 2026” calendar aimed at residents and tourists.

The regional park of Bracciano‑Martignano added two free outdoor activities under the “Estate #ViviIParchiDeLazio” scheme: a guided kayak tour on Lake Martignano on 1 August and a trekking excursion to Pisciarelli and the Arch of Boccalupo on 2 August.

In Latronico, the new “Natura Active” adventure village opened in the Agromonte district of Perricchio. The free attraction consists of wooden cabins linked by rope‑covered bridges, tunnels and a large suspended net, allowing children, teenagers and adults to explore without harnesses.

Lecco’s Piani Resinelli hosted an orienteering workshop for youths aged 11‑18 on 3 August, teaching map‑reading and compass skills while promoting environmental awareness.

Viterbo’s underground “Sotterranea” tunnels recorded a record number of summer visitors, offering families a cool refuge from heat waves and guided tours of the city’s Etruscan‑medieval heritage.

Finally, the regional final of Miss Cinema Roma 2026 took place at the archaeological park of Villa di Traiano in Arcinazzo Romano, combining a beauty contest with cultural promotion of the historic site.
