Latter-day Saint Church announces temple updates for Ohio, Bolivia, and Tennessee

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming milestones for several temples. Groundbreaking ceremonies are scheduled for November in both Ohio and Bolivia. The Cincinnati Ohio Temple will begin construction on November 7, presided over by Elder Alan T. Phillips. The La Paz Bolivia Temple groundbreaking is set for November 21, with Elder Juan Pablo Villar presiding.

In the United States, the Knoxville Tennessee Temple is scheduled for dedication on March 7, 2027. Elder David A. Bednar will preside over the dedication. Prior to the dedication, the temple will host a public open house from January 27 through February 13, 2027, following media and private tours in late January. The Knoxville temple will be the third operating temple in Tennessee, serving approximately 62,000 members in the state.
