Latter-day Saint Church releases temple updates for US and Peru

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released new details and renderings for several upcoming temple projects in the United States and Peru.

In North Carolina, an exterior rendering has been published for the Charlotte North Carolina Temple. The single-story structure will span approximately 30,700 square feet on a 7.7-acre site in Mint Hill, Mecklenburg County. This follows the 2023 announcement by President Russell M. Nelson.

In Peru, the groundbreaking date for the Iquitos Peru Temple has been set for October 10, 2026. The temple will be built on a 1.75-acre site and will measure approximately 20,000 square feet, marking the tenth temple in the country.

Additionally, the location for the Queen Creek Arizona Temple has been announced. The 82,000-square-foot facility will be situated on a 15.5-acre site in Queen Creek, Arizona.
