Latter-day Saint scripture study focuses on Book of Isaiah

The ‘Come, Follow Me’ study curriculum for late September and October focuses on chapters from the Book of Isaiah. Recent lessons cover Isaiah 40–49 and Isaiah 50–57, emphasizing messianic themes and the role of Jesus Christ.

Church leaders have provided commentary on these scriptures. President Henry B. Eyring has spoken on the importance of praying and waiting upon the Lord to renew strength. The late President Russell M. Nelson discussed the rapid construction of temples as a means to gather Israel and prepare for the Second Coming.

Reflections on the Isaiah chapters also highlight the optimistic nature of the gospel and the portrayal of a bright future for the Lord’s people. This includes the use of poetry, such as works by Eliza R. Snow, to encourage wisdom, purity, and preparation for future demands.
