Latto Opens Up About Water Birth Plans and Motherhood

Grammy‑nominated rapper Latto spoke with Capital XTRA about the birth of her daughter, the child she shares with fellow rapper 21 Savage. She said she entered labor hoping for an unmedicated water birth, but after reaching eight centimeters she “screamed ‘get me the f**k out of this pool and bring the epidural’.”

Latto described the experience as “the best day of my life, but also the most painful,” and expressed how much she enjoys being a mother, noting that waking up to her baby’s cries makes her smile. She said she is happy with her daughter for now and is undecided about expanding her family, saying she could be “one and done or have a tribe” depending on future business ventures.
