Latur police investigate brutal assault video

Police in Latur, Maharashtra, have launched an investigation following the viral spread of a video depicting the brutal assault of a young man. The footage shows several individuals stripping the victim and beating him with belts and fists. The attackers also reportedly poured petrol on the victim's private parts during the assault.

Authorities stated that the incident occurred approximately two months ago within the jurisdiction of the MIDC police station. The victim left the scene following the attack and did not initially report the matter to the police.

One suspect has been arrested, and law enforcement agencies, including crime branch teams, are currently searching for the remaining perpetrators. Police have identified the victim and are awaiting his formal statement to proceed with the full investigation.
