Latvia election polls show stable top parties amid shifting support

Recent polling data ahead of the upcoming Latvian elections indicates that the political landscape remains largely stable. The top three parties—United List (14.4%), Sovereign Power/Young Latvians (9.4%), and Latvia First (9.2%)—have maintained their positions.

However, individual shifts have been noted: the Progressives saw a 2.6 percentage point decline, and Sovereign Power/Young Latvians dropped by 2.4 points. Conversely, the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) gained 2 percentage points, and the National Alliance (NA) increased by 1.1 points.

Political scientist Filips Rajevskis suggests that the formation of the next governing coalition will likely depend on parties currently hovering near the five-percent electoral threshold. While the leadership appears clear, the specific composition of the coalition remains uncertain due to a potentially fragmented parliament.
