Latvia launches social entrepreneurship pitch competition
The Latvian Social Entrepreneurship Association and Luminor bank have launched the ninth annual social entrepreneurship pitch competition, ‘Tam labam būs augt 2026’. The competition seeks to support and develop social entrepreneurship across Latvia by providing funding for ideas that solve social problems through goods or services.
Applications are open to individuals and legal entities, including companies with or without social enterprise status, as well as associations and foundations. The total prize fund is 8,000 euros, with two winners receiving 4,000 euros each. One winner will be selected by a jury, while the other will be chosen by viewers during a live broadcast.
The competition will proceed in three stages. Following the initial application phase, which closes on September 17, the 25 strongest ideas will advance to a second round involving training and pitch coaching. The final event is scheduled for October 15 in Riga, where ten finalists will present their ideas to a jury and a live audience. This year, a special prize from the media outlet Delfi will also be awarded to one of the initiatives.
