Latvia launches social entrepreneurship pitch competition

The Latvian Social Entrepreneurship Association, in collaboration with Luminor bank, has launched the annual social entrepreneurship pitch competition, ‘Tam labam būs augt 2026’. Applications are open from August 25 to September 17 for aspiring social entrepreneurs across Latvia.

The competition features a total prize fund of 8,000 euros. Two winners will each receive 4,000 euros to implement their business ideas or develop their organizations. One winner will be selected by a jury, while the other will be chosen by public vote during a live broadcast.

Participants can include legal and physical persons, such as companies with or without social enterprise status, associations, and foundations. The initiative aims to support businesses that provide goods or services designed to solve significant social problems and create positive community changes. The competition will proceed in three stages, with the final taking place in Riga on October 15.
