Latvia men's volleyball team faces Switzerland in European Championship

The Latvian men's national volleyball team continues its campaign in the European Championship Group D in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Following a 3-1 victory against Romania and a 0-3 loss to Germany, Latvia is scheduled to face Switzerland, a team that has yet to secure a win in the tournament.

Latvia currently sits in fourth place in the group standings. The upcoming match against Switzerland is considered crucial for their chances of advancing to the knockout stages. Switzerland enters the match ranked 37th globally, while Latvia is ranked 47th.

Following the Swiss match, Latvia is slated to face France, the reigning Olympic champions. Latvian head coach Uģis Krastiņš has highlighted France's high level of technical skill and ball control as significant challenges for his squad.
