Latvia men's volleyball team loses 1-3 to Ukraine in Tallinn test match

The Latvian men's national volleyball team lost 1-3 (18:25, 25:22, 18:25, 23:25) to Ukraine during a test tournament in Tallinn. Despite the defeat, Latvian coach Uģis Krastiņš expressed satisfaction with the team's performance and content of play.

Renārs Pauls Jansons and Kristaps Šmits led the scoring for Latvia with 16 points each, while Olehs Plotnickis scored 18 points for Ukraine. The match featured competitive sets, including a second set won by Latvia following a service run by Jansons, and a tense fourth set where captain Šmits's serving helped keep the score close.

Latvia is currently preparing for the European Championship finals, which will be held in September across Bulgaria, Romania, Finland, and Italy. The team is scheduled to compete in the group stage in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, against teams including Germany, France, and Switzerland.
