Latvia political party ratings shift ahead of Saeima elections

A September survey conducted by the SKDS research center reveals shifting support levels among political parties in Latvia ahead of the Saeima elections.

The United List (AS), led by Prime Minister Andris Kupčs, remains the most popular political force with 14.4% support, despite a 0.8 percentage point decrease since August. The Suverēnās varas/Apvienības Jaunlatvieši (SV/AJ) follows in second place with 9.4%, while Latvija pirmajā vietā (LPV) holds third with 9.2%.

Other notable shifts include a decline for the Progressives (Progresīvie), whose support dropped by 2.6 percentage points to 6.2%, marking their lowest rating since March. Conversely, the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) saw an increase of 2 percentage points, reaching 4.8% support. The National Alliance (NA) also saw a slight rise to 5.6%.

Approximately 14.9% of respondents indicated they do not intend to participate in the elections, while the proportion of undecided voters also increased during the month.
