Latvia prepares for 15th Saeima elections
Latvia is preparing for the 15th Saeima elections, scheduled for October 3. Voters can participate in any polling station across the country, including those in Jelgava and Ventspils.
Starting September 28, voters have the option to cast their ballots in advance (stored voting) at all polling stations until October 2. This period allows citizens to review candidate lists and election programs. Additionally, voters who cannot visit a polling station due to health reasons may apply to vote at their place of residence.
To vote, Latvian citizens aged 18 and older must present a valid passport or identity card (eID). For those using the stored voting method, a registration envelope is used to ensure that if a voter decides to vote again on the actual election day, the previously stored ballot is annulled.
