Latvia: Public satisfaction with Kulbergs government remains low

A survey conducted by the SKDS research center reveals that public satisfaction with Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs' government is significantly negative. According to the 'Providus' study, only 3% of respondents are fully satisfied with the government's work, while 29% are fully dissatisfied and 32% are rather dissatisfied.

Despite the negative sentiment, the government's approval index of -27.8 points on a scale of -100 to 100 is noted as one of the highest recorded since 2008. The study highlights significant demographic divides: 43% of Latvian speakers expressed satisfaction with the government compared to 48% dissatisfaction, whereas 82% of Russian speakers reported being dissatisfied.

Additionally, the data indicates that men tend to view the government more positively than women, and citizens aged 65 to 75 hold a more favorable view than the general population. Lower household income per capita is also correlated with lower levels of satisfaction with the administration.
