Latvia Saeima elections: Over 88,000 voters participate in early voting
More than 88,000 voters, representing approximately 5.66% of the 1,557,615 eligible electorate, have cast their ballots in the early voting period for the 15th Saeima elections in Latvia.
Data from the Central Election Commission (CVK) shows that Riga has seen a turnout of 6.48%. Regional activity varies, with Vidzeme recording 6.19% and Zemgale at 4.69%. In Jelgava, 912 voters (2.39% of eligible citizens) have participated so far, with the highest activity noted at the Jelgava Culture House.
Early voting remains available at 933 polling stations across the country through Friday, October 2. The CVK noted that this method allows voters to change their minds and cast a new vote before the official election day on Saturday. The State Digital Development Agency reported that the election platform has remained stable throughout the week.
