Latvia to host Father's Day celebrations in Jelgava and Riga

Various Father's Day celebrations are scheduled across Latvia, featuring sporting activities and cultural festivals.

In Jelgava, the municipality is hosting “Dadathlon” at Pasta Sala on September 12. The event includes various sports stations such as football, basketball, hockey, taekwondo, and athletics. A highlight of the day will be a one-kilometer mass run for fathers and children involving various physical tasks. Participation is free, though prior registration is required.

In Riga, the Latvia Parents Organization is organizing its 35th annual Father's Day parade and festival on September 13. The event will begin at the Freedom Monument and conclude in Vērmanes Garden. The festival will feature concerts with performers including “Pirmais kurss,” “BikiGrupa,” and “Pienvedēja piedzīvojumi.” The celebration aims to bring families together through music, creative workshops, and various activities for all ages.
