Latvian 3x3 Basketball Team Reaches Athens Challenger Quarterfinals

The Latvian 3x3 squad "Kandava/Turība" advanced from the qualification round to the quarter‑finals of the Athens Challenger tournament. After defeating teams from Tel Aviv, Serbia, Amsterdam and London, the team will meet the Group A winners in the next match. The tournament offers three spots for the upcoming Masters event in early November.

World‑champion 3x3 player Nauris Miezis has relocated to Mongolia, joining the Ulaanbaatar club and will stay there until the end of the year. He described Mongolia’s extreme climate, cultural hospitality and his efforts to promote Latvia abroad while adapting to life in the cold capital.
