Latvian Prime Minister calls for European aid to Ukraine
Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs has issued a call to European citizens to increase support for Ukraine by making minor sacrifices in their daily spending. Speaking in Brussels ahead of an EU summit, Kulbergs suggested that the cost of supporting Ukraine could be equated to the price of one less beer per year for every European.
He emphasized that while such a contribution might seem insignificant to individuals in Europe, it represents “the price of life” for Ukrainians. Kulbergs noted that Ukraine urgently requires financial and military assistance, particularly as the upcoming winter is viewed as a decisive period for both Ukrainian stability and broader European security.
