Latvian Reisulis brothers finish fourth and fifth in MX2 at Lommel

Latvian riders Karlis Alberts Reisulis and Janis Martins Reisulis placed fourth and fifth respectively in the day‑classifications of the MX2 race at the 14th round of the FIM World Motocross Championship in Lommel, Belgium. Karlis secured fourth place with 36 points in the overall MX2 standings, while Janis took fifth overall with 29 points.

The Lommel circuit, known for its deep sand and demanding layout, saw South African Kamden Maklelans win the race, followed by Spaniard Gijem Farres and Germany’s Zimons Lengenfelders. The Reisulis brothers posted strong recovery rides after early‑race setbacks. No Latvian riders entered the MXGP class at this event, and the next round will resume in Sweden.

In the broader championship, French rider Romain Febvre moved into second place in the overall series standings after the Lommel round, despite a late‑race crash that dropped him to thirteenth in the final moto.
