Latvia's Best Building 2025 awards call for public voting

The organizers of the 28th annual Skate Gada labākā būve Latvijā 2025 (Best Building in Latvia 2025) awards are inviting the public to vote for the building that provides the greatest benefit to society. The event is organized by the Latvian Construction Association and the Latvian Association of Civil Engineers in collaboration with Ceresit and 17 other industry organizations.

A jury has evaluated 74 nominated buildings across Latvia and projects completed by Latvian contractors abroad. The public voting process aims to identify the building with the highest societal value, with the winner receiving the Ceresit sponsor award. Previous winners include the Taureņu house at the Children's Clinical University Hospital and Vecumnieki Secondary School.

In Valmiera, specific nominees include low-rent residential buildings on Ķieģeļu iela, a project on Strauta iela, and the Valmiera Industrial Park. Voting concludes on September 7, 2026, and the laureates will be announced on September 10, 2026.
