Latvia's LIAA business incubation program sees record application numbers

The Latvia Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) is seeing significant growth in its business incubation program. The autumn intake has received a record 313 applications, surpassing the previous record of 297 set earlier this year. Applications have been submitted from across all regions of Latvia, with the highest volume coming from Riga.

One success story from the program is the company Navigate the Future, co-founded by Tatjana Bonda and Ella Kalniņa. Utilizing LIAA financial support through the Sigulda branch, the company has developed educational board games designed to introduce children and youth to STEM fields and future professions. The funding supported prototype development, design, testing in schools, and content verification in collaboration with specialists from the University of Latvia. These products are now available in Latvian and Lithuanian markets.
