Veteran Hong Kong actor Lau Chung-yan, 76, has sparked public concern regarding his health after appearing at an event in Bao'an, Shenzhen. Videos circulating online show the actor walking with difficulty, requiring constant assistance from a staff member to navigate the venue. Observers noted his thin frame and slow, unsteady gait, leading to online speculation about his physical condition.

While his appearance has raised questions, Lau maintained a positive demeanor, smiling and waving to fans during his introduction. This is not the first time his health has been a topic of discussion; in 2020, rumors of a stroke circulated after he was seen using a cane. However, his friend and former co-star Michelle Yim clarified at the time that his mobility issues were due to an accidental fall during musical rehearsals rather than a stroke.
