Lauana Prado gives birth to first son Dom

Brazilian sertanejo singer Lauana Prado announced the birth of her first child, a son named Dom, on the morning of 31 July in São Paulo. The baby arrived at 7:30 a.m. by cesarean section, weighed 2.995 kg and was reported healthy. The name Dom derives from the Latin “Dominus”, meaning “Lord” or “master”. Dom was conceived through in‑vitro fertilisation after Lauana froze embryos and used an international sperm bank, with four collection attempts before a viable embryo was transferred in November of the previous year.

The birth follows the couple’s recent public milestones: Lauana and her wife, influencer Tati Dias, celebrated their first wedding‑anniversary month earlier, and Lauana was confirmed as a judge for the new season of The Voice Brasil. Both parents shared the news on social media, posting photos and a heartfelt open letter from Lauana to her newborn.

The event has drawn widespread attention from fans and media across Brazil, highlighting the singer’s personal life alongside her ongoing music career.
