Lauand Omar's BITTEN SOON to debut at Mórbido 2026

Filmmaker Lauand Omar is bringing his supernatural horror and black comedy project, BITTEN SOON, to the Mórbido 2026 festival in Mexico. The production, which features a Palestinian vampire, aims to use vertical cinema to explore themes of identity, displacement, and social satire.

Developed independently with minimal budget and without major studio backing, the project debuted at the Marché du Film in Cannes during the Fantastic Pavilion’s Vertical Cinema Showcase. Following its appearance in Cannes and Reel Fear 2026 in Barcelona, the film is scheduled for further presentations at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina.
