Laufey announces 2026 ‘A Very Laufey Day’ global arts celebration

Grammy-winning Icelandic-Chinese singer Laufey has announced the return of ‘A Very Laufey Day’ for its fourth year, scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026. The upcoming edition is themed ‘A Celebration of the Arts’ and aims to bridge the gap between younger generations, specifically Gen Z and Gen Alpha, and traditional cultural institutions.

The global event will span more than 75 cities across 25 countries. The program includes a variety of micro-experiences such as live performances, museum exhibitions, and fan meet-ups in locations like libraries, bookstores, and cafes.

Key highlights include exclusive candlelight concerts in 10 cities, where string quartets will perform reimagined versions of Laufey’s music. Additionally, the concert film ‘Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl’ will be screened at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater and select AMC Theatres in the United States. Laufey stated to the Associated Press that the goal is to find ways to connect her audience with institutions like orchestras, museums, and galleries by lowering the barrier of entry to these ‘high cultural experiences’.
