Launch Expeditionary Learning leases 77,000 sq ft in Brooklyn

Launch Expeditionary Learning Charter School has signed a 15-year lease for a 77,000-square-foot facility in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The school plans to begin expanding its student body at the new location in the fall of 2027.

The property, located at 5902 Sixth Avenue, was previously used as the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy. The landlord is the Redemptorist Fathers of New York. The campus features specialized educational infrastructure, including a 16,000-square-foot gymnasium, a 7,600-square-foot auditorium, a cafeteria, and various outdoor recreation areas.

Open Impact Real Estate represented the tenant, while Cushman & Wakefield negotiated on behalf of the Redemptorist Fathers. While the specific rent amount was not disclosed, market data from Colliers indicated an average office asking rent in Sunset Park of $26.43 per square foot during the second quarter of 2026.
