Laundry efficiency through organization and energy-saving settings

Optimizing laundry routines involves both organizational methods and efficient machine usage to save time and energy. Effective management begins with sorting clothes by color, fabric type, and soil level before washing to prevent errors and fabric wear. Establishing a fixed weekly washing frequency can also prevent the accumulation of large volumes of laundry, making the process more predictable.

Regarding energy consumption, experts warn against the frequent use of rapid wash functions such as ‘VarioSpeed’ or ‘SpeedPerfect’. While these settings save time, they often require higher energy consumption to complete cycles more quickly. Savings specialist Álvaro Navarrete recommends using ‘Eco’ programs instead; although these cycles may last longer, they typically use lower temperatures and more efficient processes to reduce overall electricity usage.
