Laura Artemisa García Chávez presents Women's Agenda in Puebla
Laura Artemisa García Chávez, the Secretary of Welfare, participated in the “Firma de la Agenda de las Mujeres” (Signing of the Women's Agenda) meeting alongside approximately 400 women from various organizations and collectives. During the forum, García Chávez emphasized the importance of collective strength and the need to raise voices to achieve a more just, inclusive, and humane society in Puebla.
The forum presented ten key pillars of the Women's Agenda. These include the creation of community care centers, the application of gender perspectives in public budgeting, and comprehensive women's health. Other priorities mentioned were legal protection against vicarious violence and child support defaulters, the promotion of entrepreneurship and financial education, and affirmative actions regarding gender violence alerts.
