Laura Azcurra to perform Frida Kahlo tribute in San Juan

Actress Laura Azcurra is bringing the solo play ‘Frida, ¡Viva la Vida!’ to the Teatro Municipal in San Juan on October 1. The production, written by Humberto Robles and directed by Julia Morgado, offers an intimate look at the life and work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

The play is set during a single night of the Day of the Dead, as Kahlo prepares a traditional altar. Through her memories, the performance explores her relationships, physical struggles, and artistic legacy, aiming to present a deeply human portrayal of the iconic painter.
