Laura Bozzo undergoes emergency surgery in Acapulco

Peruvian television host Laura Bozzo was hospitalized for an emergency medical procedure in Acapulco, Mexico, on October 13. Reports indicate the 75-year-old presenter suffered from severe abdominal pain, leading to a diagnosis involving a duodenal ulcer.

According to information shared by her assistant and representatives, Bozzo underwent open surgery to suture the ulcer and clean her abdominal cavity. While initial media reports suggested critical complications such as peritonitis, intestinal paralysis, and severe dehydration, her team has worked to clarify her condition. Her manager, Alejandra Palomera, and her daughter, Alexandra Bozzo, confirmed the surgery was successful and that she is currently stable.

Bozzo addressed her followers directly via Instagram to provide reassurance, stating, “I want you to know that I am fine, that I am calm with my family and with the best doctors in Acapulco.” She also used her characteristic humor to address the health scares, writing, “You won't get rid of this mummy.” Following her initial treatment in Guerrero, reports indicate she may be transferred to Mexico City for continued specialized supervision.
