Laura Bozzo remains in stable but delicate condition after emergency surgery
Peruvian television presenter Laura Bozzo is currently hospitalized in Mexico City in a delicate but stable condition following emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer. The 75-year-old was initially treated in Acapulco, where doctors identified abdominal sepsis and a gastric hemorrhage, necessitating immediate surgical intervention.
Bozzo was subsequently transferred to the Hospital General in Mexico City for specialized care. Her personal assistant and spokesperson, Aarón Guerrero, has addressed various rumors, clarifying that while her condition is serious, she is breathing on her own and is not intubated. Medical teams have performed a tomography to check for potential complications, such as abscesses or intestinal leaks, which could require further surgery.
Bozzo remains under continuous monitoring and is partially unconscious due to the effects of sedation. Her daughters, Victoria and Alejandra de la Fuente, are staying by her side. Guerrero also dismissed claims that the presenter is receiving preferential treatment or special security at the hospital, stating that the institution is treating her like any other patient.
