Laura Guldemond departs Burning Witches after seven years

Dutch singer Laura Guldemond has announced her departure from the Swiss heavy metal band Burning Witches after seven years. Since joining in 2019, Guldemond contributed to four studio albums, including ‘Dance with the Devil’, ‘The Witch of the North’, ‘The Dark Tower’, and ‘Inquisition’.

In a personal statement, Guldemond described the period as an incredible journey and expressed pride in the band's achievements. She noted that the decision was made because visions no longer fully aligned and stated she intends to focus on her own music. She requested that fans respect the decision and emphasized that there is no animosity between her and the group.

The band confirmed the news, stating they attempted to find a way to continue together but ultimately respected her decision. For upcoming concerts, Jennifer Gruber will serve as a temporary vocalist while the band searches for a permanent replacement.
