Laura Loomer reverses stance on Ukraine after bomb shelter interview

American commentator Laura Loomer, previously known for spreading conspiracy theories and for supporting former President Donald Trump, travelled across Ukraine and was interviewed by the Associated Press inside an underground bomb shelter after a ballistic missile attack in Kyiv. Loomer said she realized she had been “bamboozled” by Russian propaganda and now warns U.S. conservatives about misinformation.

She spoke with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, described being woken by air‑raid sirens and visiting the Bucha mass‑grave site, and said her trip has already helped refocus attention on the war as Congress debates additional sanctions against Russia. Loomer expects to meet Trump in Washington before the upcoming Trump‑Zelenskyy Oval Office meeting, emphasizing that the shift in her view could influence U.S. policy toward the conflict.
