Laura López to step down as PROCOMER General Manager

Laura López has announced her resignation as the General Manager of the Foreign Trade Promotion Agency of Costa Rica (PROCOMER), effective this December. López cited personal reasons for her departure after a three-year tenure.

During her leadership, PROCOMER focused on attracting foreign direct investment, specifically aiming to expand projects beyond the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) and diversifying investment sectors and countries of origin. Her administration also prioritized human talent development, business climate improvements, and the promotion of exports and the ‘Marca País’ (Country Brand).

López stated she is leaving a “solid institution, prepared for the challenges the world presents” and expressed gratitude to the Board of Directors and various government authorities for their support during her term.
