Laura Pausini releases new single for Brazilian and Portuguese markets

Italian singer Laura Pausini has released a new single, a cover of “Quando chove,” specifically targeting the Brazilian and Portuguese markets. The song, originally written in 1980 by Pino Daniele, features a duet with Brazilian pop star Sandy.

Pausini drew inspiration from the 1994 version by Patricia Marx for this rendition. The music video for the track was filmed in Milan and directed by Leandro Manuel Emede for Sugarkane. The song was previously included in the tracklist of her album “Io canto 2,” released on February 6.

This release coincides with preparations for the European leg of her 2026/2027 World Tour. The tour has already sold 450,000 tickets globally, with many dates sold out. Pausini, a highly decorated artist with over 75 million records sold and 8 billion streams, continues to expand her international presence, particularly within Latin American markets.
