Laura Pausini teams with Brazilian singer Sandy on Portuguese duet “Quando Chove”

Italian pop star Laura Pausini selected Brazilian vocalist Sandy to record a Portuguese version of the classic song “Quando Chove”. The duet was recorded in Milan and released on 7 August 2024, accompanied by a music video shot in the same city. The track is added to the digital editions of Pausini’s album Io Canto 2 and follows her long‑standing connection with the Brazilian audience.

Pausini explained that she immediately thought of Sandy when deciding to record the song in Portuguese, praising her “sweet voice” and “beautiful timbre”. Sandy traveled to Italy for the video shoot and described the invitation as a “beautiful surprise”. The collaboration coincides with Pausini’s Io Canto / Yo Canto World Tour 2024‑2025, which includes dates in Brazil later this year.
