Laura Prgomet apologizes after Dubrovnik incident and detention
Croatian reality‑TV personality Laura Prgomet, known from RTL’s show “Gospodin savršeni”, was detained in early July in Dubrovnik following alleged disorderly conduct at a cafe and an assault on a police officer. Video of the episode showed her behaving in a way she later described as unrecognisable.
She issued a written apology through her lawyer, accepted full responsibility, and specifically apologized to the Ministry of the Interior, the police officers involved, health workers and court staff. In the statement she said she was not in her usual psychophysical state at the time, expressed deep remorse, thanked the authorities for allowing her to defend herself while free, and said she would seek psychological help.
Prgomet’s statement, released in full, emphasised that she does not seek to justify the incident, regrets the additional work created for law‑enforcement personnel, and looks forward to the authorities clarifying the circumstances.
