Laura Rusten named Trundle Show Young Woman for 2026

Laura Rusten has been named the Trundle Show’s Young Woman for 2026. The 22-year-old, who grew up on a farm in Parkes and currently resides in Trundle, holds qualifications in equine massage and equine red light therapy.

Rusten currently works as a product operator at the Bogan Gate Explosives Reserve facility and also works as a dog groomer. She is an active community volunteer, contributing her time to the Trundle Rugby League Club, Trundle Pony Club, Trundle Bush Tucker Day, Parkes Harness Racing Club, and Parkes Jockey Club.

Rusten stated that the competition provides an opportunity to represent her local community and the rural lifestyle. She aims to build a career within the equine and agriculture industries while remaining connected to rural life.
