Laura Smet honors late mother Nathalie Baye with Instagram tribute

French actress Nathalie Baye died on 18 April 2026 at age 77 after a battle with Lewy‑body disease. Three months later, her daughter, actress and singer Laura Smet, posted a heartfelt Instagram story on 4 August 2026, sharing a photo of her mother and writing, “Maman, tu me manques tellement.”

During the same summer, Smet sought respite in the French Alps, posting images of herself bathing in a cascade in Savoie and commenting on the healing power of nature. The posts also referenced the wildfires that had recently devastated the Cap‑Ferret area of the Gironde, where Smet lives, and expressed support for firefighters.
