Zapata criticized the series for suggesting that Sokol, who was 14 at the time, may have initiated the romantic connection with De Llano, who was 39. Zapata argued that a teenager cannot seduce an adult and questioned the role of Sokol’s parents, specifically her mother, in failing to intervene.

Additionally, Zapata addressed the past relationship between singer Thalía and Alfredo Díaz Ordaz, who is 20 years her senior. While noting the age gap, Zapata stated she did not believe that specific relationship involved abuse or manipulation, as Thalía was an adult at the time. Zapata suggested that the age difference in such dynamics can sometimes stem from a search for a paternal figure, noting that Thalía lost her father at a young age.
