Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron win Grand Prix de France

Olympic ice dance champions Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron secured a victory at the Grand Prix de France in Angers, marking a successful return to competition. The French-Canadian duo earned a total of 207.57 points, finishing ahead of Georgia’s Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin (193.93) and the United States’ Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko (189.36).

Their performance included a rhythmic dance set to music by Rosalía and a free dance set to the works of Max Richter. While their flamenco-inspired routine experienced a minor technical error on Friday, their contemporary free dance on Saturday was described by coach Romain Haguenauer as “limpide, claire et nette” (clear, bright, and clean).

Following their successful first season together, which included European, World, and Olympic titles, the pair has committed to continuing their careers through the 2030 Winter Olympics in Lyon. Their next scheduled competition is in Helsinki from November 20 to 22.
