Laurent Charliot releases debut crime novel Trois garçons imaginaires
Author Laurent Charliot is releasing his first crime novel, ‘Trois garçons imaginaires’, published by Iéna Éditions on October 30. Set against a backdrop of three simultaneous homicides in different French cities—Nantes, Metz, and Cergy—the plot follows three investigators attempting to link the cases.
The victims include a night grocer, an insurance agent, and a car dealer. A recurring clue at each crime scene involves a photograph of a young woman and a cassette tape by the English band The Cure, referencing the group's debut album. The novel incorporates elements of the band's dark musical history and features Nantes as a central setting.
