Lauri Markkanen discusses lack of playing rhythm

Finnish basketball player Lauri Markkanen has expressed that the lack of regular competitive play feels unusual. Having not played an NBA game since February 24, Markkanen has only participated in mid-summer national team matches.

Markkanen noted that his rhythm has suffered due to the hiatus. He is expected to find relief through upcoming international competition, including a match against Iceland in Espoo and two World Cup qualifying matches next week.

During his time in Finland, Markkanen discussed the challenges of being a highly recognizable figure in public spaces, though he noted that people generally respect his privacy and his family's space.
