Lauriane Nolot wins fourth European kitefoil title

French athlete Lauriane Nolot has secured her fourth European kitefoil title in Akyaka, Turkey. Following her recent world championship victory, Nolot completed a rare world-European double, finishing ahead of Jessie Kampman and Elena Lengwiler.

In women's basketball, Gabby Williams led the French national team to their first-ever World Cup final. Despite Williams' performance of 20 points and 7 assists in the final, Team USA secured a 97-79 victory. Williams was recognized individually as the tournament's best defender and was named to the tournament's All-Star five.
