Laurie Patton to receive 2026 Concordia Leadership Award
Dr. Laurie L. Patton, President of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, has been named a recipient of the 2026 Concordia Leadership Award for her contributions to civil society. She is the second of three recipients selected for the honor.
Dr. Patton will be formally recognized at the 2026 Concordia Annual Summit, held from September 20-23 in New York City. The award recognizes global leaders who promote public-private collaboration to drive social and economic change.
Her career includes serving as the first female president of Middlebury College from 2015 to 2025, as well as leadership roles at Duke University and Emory University. An expert in South Asian history and interreligious engagement, she has authored or edited numerous scholarly works.
